Rainy Day Trust is one of the only charities in the UK dedicated to those who have worked for at least one continuous year in the UK’s Home Improvement & Enhancement Industry.

We understand, when things go wrong, they can go wrong very quickly. When something like a washing machine breaks down, the cost of a new one can be out of reach. Repairing a leaking roof or a broken-down car is simply unaffordable for many. That’s why we offer grants to help people through difficult times. We assess each applicant individually, and tailor our help to that person’s needs. The service is completely confidential. Don’t struggle on in silence. We are here to help.

Have you worked in, or are you currently working in, the home improvement or enhancement sector?  This includes DIY, builders’ merchants, hardware, housewares and other related trades.  Please note that ‘home improvement‘ refers specifically to work within the domestic residential housing market, excluding commercial sectors such as offices or hotels. If so, we’re here to help.
